If you have already registered, you can login by selecting Login on the top right-hand navigation and following the instructions.

Select the Student or Tutor button on the home page of www.crunchtutor.com and follow the prompts to register. 

a.       Log in with your username and password.

b.       Select Welcome in the menu bar on the top.

c.       Select Past sessions.

d.       You will see all your past sessions for the last 14 days. Older sessions cannot be viewed, please ensure you download them for future reference.

e.       Look for the session that you want to review and download it by clicking the download icon in the column Heading “Video”.

a.       First log in with your username and password.

b.       Click on Welcome in the menu bar on the top.

c.       Click on My booked sessions.

d.       You will see all your scheduled sessions.

e.       Find the session that you want to start.

f.        You will be able to start the session only 5 minutes before the start time. Click the telephone icon.

g.       Check to make sure your camera and microphone are working.

a.      Get a digital copy of the problem set. Take a photo with your camera.

b.      Login with your username and password.

c.       Select your desired subject, date, and time.

d.      You can then search for a tutor.

Sessions must be canceled 60 min prior to the scheduled start time to ensure you are not billed for a session. If you cancel after this period, you will be billed $7.50 for 15 minutes. Read our full cancellation policy.

a.       Log in with your username and password.

b.       Click on Welcome in the menu bar on the top.

c.       Select Upcoming Sessions to view your scheduled sessions.

d.       Cancel the session that you do wish to cancel.

You can cancel your membership anytime following the steps below. Please note that your membership will be canceled on the first day of the next month. If you cancel mid-month, your membership fee will not be prorated.  You will not receive a refund on any monthly fees that you have already paid.

After cancellation, you can still use the basic features of the service, such as searching and booking a tutoring session. However, you will not be able to use advanced features such as viewing prerecorded lectures.

2.    Login to your account and move to the next page

3.    If you still wish to proceed, select a reason in the drop-down menu, tick the box next to Yes, I want to permanently close my CrunchTutor account and delete my data and click Close my Account.

A confirmation notification will be sent to the email address associated with your account or via text message.

c.       Select Upcoming Sessions to view your scheduled sessions.

d.       If you registered your account with a Gmail address, sessions will also show on your Google calendar.

a.       Login with your username and password at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. Make sure your camera and microphone are working.

d.       Find the session that you want to start and then find the telephone icon in the last column (headline-Start my session)

e.       You will be able to join the session only after your tutor has started it. You will know your tutor is in the virtual classroom if the telephone icon in the last column turns solid green. Once the icon is green, select the phone icon to join the session.

a.       Log in with your username and password.

b.       Select Welcome in the menu bar on the top.

c.       Select Progress.

d.       Choose to see Total Minutes Spent or Total Dollars Spent.

e.       Select the date range and then click the Search button.

The monthly fee is $4.99. You will be billed on the 1st of every month. The monthly fees will start on the 1st day of the first complete month after registration.

After we have found a tutor, we will send you a text as well as an email.

Just your credit card and a valid email address.

We will inform you if we cannot find a tutor within 30 minutes of the posting of your problem.


The minimum charge for a session is $7.50, which buys 15 minutes with a tutor. After 15 minutes, an additional charge of $0.50/minute for each minute in excess of 15 minutes will be added to the base charge of $7.50. For example, if your tutoring session lasts 22 minutes, you will be billed $7.50 +$0.50* (7) = $11.00

The monthly fees will start on the 1st day of the first complete month after registration.

Tutor Topics

a.       You need documents to support your current employment. If you are a schoolteacher, you need to document this. If you are a university professor, you need to show this. It can be a copy of your school/university ID or the website address if you are listed on the school website.

b.       You need a background check certificate. You can get it for free from Checkr. Just start the registration process, and we will guide you in getting this certificate from Checkr.

c.       Your banking details so that we can pay you. All payments are processed by ProPay. No financial information is stored by CrunchTutor. We use the most advanced software to protect your financial information.

There are two ways to search for a tutoring match:

a.      Every time, a student posts a problem that fits your expertise, we will text and email you. After receiving the message, please read the problem and respond within 15 minutes if you think you can help the student. The computer software will select one tutor out of all who respond in this timeframe.

b.      You can also search for students who have not been matched to tutors at any time
