CrunchTutor offers 6-week and 12-week summer tracks for middle and high school students, including AMC, USACO, Science Bowl, SAT/ACT, AP prep, AI/ML, research, math, languages and college guidance.

How many hours per week should my child expect?

Most subjects meet 2–3 hours per week with homework. Research and competition tracks may include additional milestones, mentor reviews and optional planning calls.

Can CrunchTutor help with college guidance and extracurricular planning?

Yes. Families can ask for guidance on subject selection, extracurricular fit, competition planning, research projects, profile-building and college-readiness strategy.

How does CrunchTutor keep tutoring consistent?

We focus on mentor fit, reliable scheduling, homework follow-through and parent-visible checkpoints so tutoring does not feel random or disconnected.

Are there flexible and affordable options?

Yes. Families can choose 1-on-1 tutoring, small groups, short-term sprints, summer tracks or deeper research mentorship depending on goals, schedule and budget.

What is CrunchTutor.com?

CrunchTutor.com is an online tutoring platform connecting K–12 students with top college tutors for live, personalized academic support.

Who are the tutors?

Families work with a trusted Bay Area-rooted mentor network — PhDs, professors, software engineers, future physicians, and students or graduates from Berkeley, MIT, Stanford, USC, UChicago, CMU, UCLA and more. Mentors are matched by subject expertise, student level, schedule, fit and teaching style.

What subjects do you offer?

We offer Math, Science, English, Coding (Python, Java, C++), SAT/ACT prep, AMC/USACO training, and more. Custom subjects may be available upon request.

How do I schedule a session?

Once your account is created, sessions can be scheduled through your dashboard or by contacting our support team.

What is your cancellation & no-show policy?
  • Cancel/reschedule > 24 hrs: No penalty.
  • Cancel < 24 hrs: 30-minute penalty applies.
  • No-show: Tutors wait 15 minutes; if the student does not attend, a 60-minute penalty applies.
  • Tutor cancels: Student receives a free reschedule or full credit (priority scheduling).

Why this policy?

This balances flexibility for busy families with fairness to tutors who reserve your time slot. A smaller late-cancel penalty (30 min) encourages timely updates, while a higher no-show penalty (60 min) reflects that the full slot is lost.

Can I change my tutor?

Yes, we offer a free tutor change if you’re not satisfied with your current tutor’s teaching style or availability.

Do tutors assign homework?

Yes. Tutors assign targeted homework or practice exercises, which are reviewed in the following session.

Are the sessions one-on-one or group-based?

Most sessions are one-on-one. We also offer small group sessions (2–5 students) for select programs.

How can I track my child’s progress?

We provide regular progress updates and encourage parent check-ins to ensure learning goals are met.
